Our Story
William (Bill) Pomerantz established what we know today as BBE Office Interiors as
Berkshire Business Equipment Co Inc in 1950 as an office furniture and print provider.
In the early 1990’s BBE ownership was passed to Rob Proskin. Rob’s forward vision
incorporated state-of-the-art computer systems and design software that forever
changed the way BBE could service their customers. This allowed the company to be
competitive even with the largest dealers in the market. Today Dan Proskin represents
the third generation of family ownership, working to bring innovative office solutions to
businesses across New England. Our journey from a local Pittsfield company to a
regional leader reflects decades of dedication to quality and customer service.
Our 28,000 square foot showroom in Pittsfield allows clients to experience leading
brands and materials firsthand, from the rolling hills of the Berkshires to the bustling
